Fillet brazed steel bikes, handcrafted in Oklahoma.

Braking convention

The disc brake road bike build continues. The brake mount went well, in spite of my lack of recent practice with a cutting torch.

So yeah, there you have it. On front disc brakes, the inside dropouts are offset from the inside of the brake tab, so the mount had to be cut from the dropout and offset to match. That’s one of the nice things about fillet brazing, you can just pile on the bronze and blend it in after. That’s all there is to see at this point, but there will be more soon. Thanks for looking.
