Visitation

Remember Perry’s 29 with the internal cable routing? He brought it by today all built up. It’s cool when you see one of your creations in the hands of its owner. Especially when you’re out on a ride with them. But, bringing it by the house is still pretty cool.  He took sharpies to it, then had it clear powdercoated.

The funny little markings are copies of runes carved into the rocks up at our rocktastic local riding area, Turkey Mountain.

That one looks like a 29, but it’s actually someone’s name. One of the explorers who carved the runes in the rock, I guess.

In an unfortunate turn of events, one of the powdercoaters cleaned off a few of the markings before he realized they were intentional.  Most of them survived though.

Maybe the trails will dry out soon so he can ride it off road.

Yeah, I like it. I wish I’d thought of it, but since I didn’t and someone else did I don’t want to copy it.

The skull and ’29’ looking mark are very appealing….but I will not steal the idea either. Perry, you are a smart guy, scoring that custom build and completely original set up.

I can’t decide what to do with my edoz. It will not be that cool or clever….. Looking forward to building it up with some old school components. White Industries tracker Ti hubs, avid tri-align’s, Syncros seat post, maybe some Honjo Fenders!!

I just finished the revamp of my for fixture, too. I’ll get some pics of it up and get going on your fork this weekend.
